It only lasts 5 minutes, thankfully. But yeah, I have to minimize the window while I wait...

This really should not be happening unless you have reached an adequate intoxication level.

It starts out very small at any intoxication level, but gets worse the more drunk you are. A shot of 2 year whiskey is just a little annoying. A shot of 25 year whiskey and you can't walk straight. I mean, kudos for making a pretty good representation of being drunk, but it's hard to look at the screen.

Unless you mean the devs have specifically said it's not supposed to happen at all until you reach x level by design; then yeah, it's bugged.

I don’t know if intoxication values have been looked over and evaluated. I should have said that was just my opinion.

I haven't adjusted any of the intoxication levels. Maybe we can make them VERY short effects that stack in case people really want to get the full effect, and perhaps have 1 particular one have the purpose of really making that effect persist.

Maybe they're not at 3%, I could have been remembering incorrectly on the stream. I'm trying not to do super low drops for much anymore, so wouldn't surprise me. 20% is also ringing a bell. When I go to make the omelet recipe, I'll double check. Someone who grinds dragons probably already has a good idea. I'll check this week while I work on them, adjust if necessary :)

I could totally see a natural intoxication effect resistance based on like your Healthy level divided by 100. So you don't start feeling it unless you drink multiple drinks.

I've just reread this entire thread before I start diving into cooking stuff again for the next release. Thanks so much for the input! I was hoping to have time to comment on everyone's thoughts, but please be assured all thoughts were considered. I've got great ideas now for recipe names and ingredients for these. Thank you all for your comments. I even found more things to put on my to-d0 list related to the food work, but not sure if I'll have time for R88. I also reviewed this thread again and am posting a similar response: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...ing-wishlist-underutilized-ingredients.165308

Thank you thank you thank you!

Also, keep the info flowing -- nothing saying more ideas won't make it in later :)

@Elgarion here are the dragon egg drop rates i have in the data collected so far. this is a small sampling since i just recently started collecting data so a larger sample will of course be more accurate. this also assumes eggs drop from young dragons (which is what i have heard but never received from one).

Thanks Tirrag :) Each egg will make a lot of omelets so you'll get a lot of bang for your buck. I'll look at their rates again just before determining how many omelets they make each. Also, no -- you can also craft baby/young dragon inkies from them, but the eggs drop from adult dragons.

@Elgarion What constitutes "Refining" I was running a test today with 7 year whiskey making dye on the tanning station but there was no change in time - was 4 minutes 8 seconds for for 50 dye with or without drinking the whiskey. As tanning is in the "Refinement" wheel - I expected to see a time bonus.

    Thanks

The refining bonus is limited to the first tier crafting materials which you can see when using the refining filter at each crafting station.

I know the recipes have already been set, so just gonna place this here for future consideration. Just had an interesting chat in Universe discussing how one might cook a fish that lives in lava. My conclusion is that lemon must be a component for the citric acid to help tenderize the meat and get it to take in water. Alternatively, the meat could be ground or puréed (like I assume is the case with Ichthyosaurus Ice Cream).

So here are some ideas for future consideration:

    Sunless Ceviche
    • Ammonite meat
    • lemons
    • salt
    • peppers
    • tomatoes

Plesiosaurus Poke (Possibly a use for raw Bluefins as well for a rare high tier tuna food since mahi-mahi and bluefins produce the same tuna meat - Perennial Poke)
    • Plesiosaurus Meat
    • Fish Sauce
    • Onion
    • Oil
    • Pepper
    *cough fish sauce*

    Midmaer Mosasaurus Meatloaf
    • Mosasaur meat
    • Mustard Seeds (or ground/processed mustard)
    • Bacon
    • Egg
    • Onion
    • Milk
    • Salt
    • Sugar
    • Tomatoes

    Drachvald Deviled Dunkleosteus
    • Dunkleosteus Meat
    • Wedge of Cheese
    • Onion
    • Mustard Seeds (or ground/processed mustard)
    • Garlic

Good thinking :) I'll convert this thread to a food wish list thread in the future so we can keep building on it as well. Nudge me if I forget ;)

@Elgarion , any plans to Extend the duration Of Scorched Mosasaurus? currently it is a 4 hour food, i believe it should be on par with phoenix bites at 8 hours given how rare it is :)
