Game laggy in multiplayer?

I want to play in multiplayer but I get 1 fps just looking around then Altair disconnects me. And my ram shows 80% utilization only running steam and sorta.

Anyone else having issues like this.

 

Not to that extremes but yes.
Got a lot of rubber banding and stuff.
Plus massive load times and lag in busy towns.
Still a lot of optimization to do.

 

Use the /bug command in game and paste the results so people can at least get an idea of what video card you are using. (Note that sometimes even when you have a real video card, you system may still fall back to the crappy built-in GPU.)

Not saying this will fix your issue,but it could help. Try changing your video settings to the very lowest setting. Also Turn off aggressive decoration loading in video settings usually helps with lag and performance . Very last setting.

 

Yesterday specifically was very laggy

 

Once in a while I get some lag spikes but mostly the game plays very good for me. Is this a normal, is the question. A lot of things can contribute to poor frame rate and lag for people. Some being their computer systems are old and not sufficient to play a not optimized game in development and many other reasons. If someone is having problems playing the game I say just post your system and bug report as well. Then there will be sufficient information for someone to give feedback to try to help. Also just to note when a release first comes out sometimes there are more issues due to additions and changes that will get patched up as we mention issues we find in performance and etc. Best wishes to you all.

The game is prone to being laggy generally and full of lag spikes. I can be running along just fin and drop from 60 to 1 FPS.. and that with my fairly decent i7.. and my 4GB of video ram.. and my SSD's and my 32GB os system ram etc..

Switching to my laptop .. which has dedicated NVIDIA for gaming... is just too painful to even consider

 

yes you definitely need at least 8 GB of ram for this game. I hope you can get some more one day.

 

I have been playing the game for a couple years and have not experienced what I have in the last few days.
I will try everything mentioned, and post my info once I get back to the computer.
