Game Release...

Is there any word as to when this game is going to be released? Not sure to play now or wait for release when things, like story missions, are all in place in proper order.

 

Welcome MrHemlocks. Yes they are saying commercial release of the game by the end of the year. As that time approaches our feedback will be key to saying if the game is ready or not . The main story should be completed and ready for bug testing sometime in July. Side quests and hopefully an in-game achievement system will start to come in game after that.

 

By end of 2017 probably. Soon.

Real Soon Now One Of These Days, probably by the end of the year.

They are working on the main story missions, I think they've gone through polish on two and not polished yet on the third. But this isn't something you are expected to knock back in a weekend, then go to the next thing on your Steam backlog. At the very least, there are points in the main story missions where you need to level up / skill up your character quite a bit to continue. You can work on another main story line to the similar point, or other unrelated quests, while working on leveling up.

Or you could start playing now, get used to how the game systems work, then already have the level up part done. And then watch the game slowly grow each month.

We have also been told to expect to be able to reset our quest status completely at "release" time, so you could do it again as a second run through.
