I find RMT in games generally to be a negative, but from very early on, it was clear there would be some of it in SOTA as it created incentive for some players to make large investment in the game. I've always had issues with the gray market in this game. Some commodities are ok, others are not, but we don't have a specific list. As well, Port accepts no liability for these trades and players have no protection against fraud.

I suggest that Port create a player market similar to Steam's (or simply co-op Steam's and pay them their cut). This way, all virtual items that are eligible for RMT, as defined by Port, can be traded in a secure manner. Players get protection, rules are clearly defined, Port always gets a cut of the action, no need for in game spam, everybody wins. Except people who like zero RMT, but that was never going to happen here.
