    Hi,
im trying to find a good way to level train strength for a caster, so i quickly can reach heavy lifter. For now, ive been using the ignite weapon skill and a weapon to bash a few mobs aside from my spells. But its taking forever, ive been all day down the soltown catacombs and only reached level 21 or 22 in train strength. Anyone hints or ideas? thx

    You want the easy way?

Go to Ardoris, down by the docks you'll find Digit who sells Gustballs. Buy one.
    Get a rusty weapon.
Lock all other skills except STR.

Open the K window, make sure you have a pool of XP. If you don't do some quests.

In options switch to auto-attack. (Remember to switch back after).

Summon the Gustball and double click.

Go take a coffee or collect some Pokemon or something.

The non easy way is to continue with what you are already doing.
But it costs a lot of XP from the pool to advance the prime stats so you'd better be gaining it from something.

According the PORT this is legit - weak but legit.

You gotta go obtain XP first before you can do this trick, so might as well save time by locking all other skills but one and go kill mobs to get XP and train the single skill.

Are there any repeatable quests in the game? I've found that the few simple starter quests you encounter are actually incredibly valuable valuable resources that you need to spend wisely if you want an easy time leveling past a few early roadblocks.

The easiest way to raise any skill is by killing things and getting XP.

Using a gustball to cash in XP just means your not out getting more XP so it is slower in the long run.

I seem to always trend toward 0 XP when I'm out adventuring, which probably means I have too many skills set to train, but then there is no good reason not to train pretty much every passive in the game to 40.

I agree with @Sara Dreygon - leveling as you go is the way to go.

On the matter of the gustball, I want one but it seems as though Digit has closed his store... I woke him up and all he wanted to do was chat.. no gustball :(

Think i will simply keep discovering maps and lvl it the slow and painful way. Just thought theres a faster way, aka a useful skill casters may use that counts toward it too, since i basically dont wanna use a sword or other weapons besides a caster staff to reduce fizzle chance.
To level into heavy lifter im forced to use a sword or other weapons and kill stuff with it, what doesnt fit my role of a plain caster i wanted to be. +im kinda forced to use low areas aka catacombs to level the skill, if i dont wanna invest and level on a sword or something (besides the possibility to unlearn it again).

The initial weight limit before you get into heavy lifter is just a bit brutal, but ive made some fun outta it, to find out how much overweight i can do without dying cause of no resources;) (atm im at almost 300%)

Digit eventually has been one of those guys doing bad things at night (never trust a Gustball dealer), so they eventually decided hes not trustworthy enough for a sensitive topic like selling Gustballs.

My str raised to 40 just thru normal fighting. I've never needed a gustball. I prefer to keep my pool flowing ;)

There is a reason to not train them all up early on. Your skills pull a % of your XP pool. The larger the pool the fewer times you have to cast a skill (or innate) to level it up. So you can struggle with it going up by not locking it and letting XP trickle in, OR you can lock nearly everything (or everything, it doesnt hurt!) and build your pool up.

These are just example numbers but close. When compared to standard skills (anything on the left side of the tree) Base Stats take approx 10xthe XP per level, innates 5x.

Is digit broken for anyone else? I've been to him four times and his shop window never opens, he just talks to me.

I just like having a gustball for when im just like a level or two shy of the next skill ability and dont feel like running out of town to kill a few mobs worth.

Good advice to be found here. So if I just want to raise Str and I lock down all of my other combat skills do I have to lock down all of my non-combat skills as well?

Yes. The stats take 9x the xp to gm. Most are 1.2 mil.

Ive had train str turned up for 8 solid months and Im adv lvl 94 now. I *just* GM'ed it. It is an extremely needy skill (12 mil I think) and move *very* slow.

So what's the best skills to use (and not to use) to raise STR? Should I make a custom combat deck that just uses primarily STR base skills? I'm a range attack guy but I could switch to blades if it will raise strength faster.
