Grauman's Chinese Theater

I suddenly find that my nice reclusive Shogun palace is now lit up like Grauman's Chinese Theater on a blockbuster Hollywood film opening/preview. Is this really the best way?

I understand that players want to be able to find the devotionals easily - but rather than overlaying decorations with garish lights, I think the devotionals should be tagged like a player house on the town crier and allow a player to *mark* the spot on their compass point and head to it. This serves the added benefit of being much more accurate than a light that is not visible everywhere or can be blocked by walls/trees while also not adding the garish lighting.

With the current street-sign teleport system, a player can enter a town, teleport to the docks and immediately have the town crier handy to find the devotionals.

Feedback from other players requested on the current status vs. the proposed change above.

 

I like it. I think it's one of the best new things in R42.

i like the lights. i had obsidian streetlamps next to them and now i can retire them.
