For all the francophiles among us!
Here's wishing you a Happy Bastille Day!!!
Yeah ! Bonne Fête Nationale ! ^^
What does that mean?
It means French are pussies and never fight, always surrender, right ?
I will raise my Chouan flag in defiance ! Long live the Bourbon monarchy ! Dieu, le roi!
Now, now guys. Let's not be trollish. Even the US has had its capitol conquered and burned.
This is France's Independence celebration, similar to our 4th of July. Time to break out some wine and party!
Happy Bastille Day! (waves French flag while eating French toast & Fench fries with French dressing and French's yellow mustard)
Excuse me. I don't think it right to use derogatory words to describe the French. In fact, I don't believe they are that.
Any student of history should know France and the gauls have a long and even heroic tradition in martial matters, with soldiery reknowned in fighting prowess even when poorly led (i.e., Franco-Prussian war). Too much is made of the "Blitzkrieg" of '40, none on the borders of the Axis fared so well in the initial onslaughts thrown against them with a new way of fighting. French soldiers and navies were certainly appreciated by one at the time would-be nation desperate for allies across the Atlantic back in the day
