Have this problem 50% of the time

About 50% of the time I cant launch SOTA. I get this error.
Failed to initialize Direct3D.
Make sure you have at least DirectX 9.0c installed, have drivers for your
graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration
in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed

I just erased all content and reloaded everything.
It only happens sometimes. If I restart or instead of launching from the desktop icon I launch from steam it will work, buyt then randomly will give this error. WTFSID?

 

What type of video card are you using, and what software are you running for it? I've seen similar errors on my GeForce card if the GeForce Experience program crashed and I didn't restart it before trying to run a game. You might just need to download the latest drivers for your card to make sure they are installed properly.

 

Ok meeples. Java issue. I had to go through tons of **** and reinstall Java. everything is fine now.
