Hello everyone

Hi Folks,

I pledged and downloaded the game yesterday so am completely new to the game and its mechanics.

Being an original UO player from way back when it was launched in 1997, I'm really looking forward to getting involved and watching the game evolve.

I've had a brief look at the various mechanics via a YouTube video but is there any recommendations for a quick tutorial on starting gameplay?

Can someone answer a question that I have regards my account page please.

Under the first tab "Your Pledges" it lists :

• Title Virtual Collector
• Total Price An amount
• Change A drop down menu + upgrade button
• Recruits A numeric value
• Date What it says on the tin

Now my assumption would have been that listed here is your pledge history. My pledge was "Founder", however I can see that listed nowhere. Now I obviously am aware what I pledged to but under the Total price I have the total listed plus two bonuses. This is where I become confused as I do not know what the bonuses or total amount are there for? My presumption is to get you to pledge more and upgrade?

Also do the pledge rewards only become available when the came goes live or are they accessible now from within beta?

If you are a founder you will see a "F" in a circle next to your pledge level. The bonus are just that, bonuses of money, you can get them in some ways, like the Alienware promotion. Basically is like pledged money, but that you got in an indirect way.

You will have the rewards when the game come alive. Now we lost the characters in every release, but anyway you can find a lot of pledge items in the releases in boxes or vendors (and some others for free), so you can check them if you wish.

I have received the Alienware promotion but I do not understand what the cash amount is that is set against "Total Price!.

 

So you will have $XX Total price. And down (including $20 bonus). The bonus is automatically added to the total money. For example if you pledged 45$ you will have: Total price 65 (including $20 bonus).

At present my total price is at $110, includes a $25 recruit bonus and a $20 other bonus. My title shows as Virtual Collector.

If I click to upgrade it gives me an option to upgrade to Explorer - all digital for $25. This being my $110 + $25, totaling the full price of $135.

However if I attempt to upgrade to say Explorer I have to pay the full $140, so no discount is given?

Sadly the discounts ended, but at least you will keep your Fouder status.

 

It does seem to be giving me the discount for digital explorer as the cost is just $25.

 

So will you jump finally?

 

I'd rather have jumped to Explorer (non digital) but no damn discount for that .

I can't figure why I am a Virtual Collector as I'm sure my pledge was for Founder.
