    I get hitching just crafting at a table in my basement.

    I get hitching most anywhere in The Rise, regardless of whether or not there are any NPCs in the vicinity. For example, I clear the mages room, and then run towards the stairs (and to go down them to the safe spot at the bottom). Massive hitching. I agree generally though that I mainly (but not always) experience hitching in adventuring scenes. But others definitely have shown hitching in non-adventuring scenes as well.
