Why does it keep disappearing ... It's there when I don't need it, and gone when I do. Z unsheathes, and it takes off. Z again, and it's back. Z again and its gone. Z again and it doesn't come back. Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, nothing. Suddenly, it comes back. Unsheathe, it's gone.
Did you make a deck Neza? Or are you in the NON -COMBAT HOTBAR? Two different things.. Here is a very quick summary: Press "y" to bring up your deck and "k" for skills. Make a new deck, drag skills to it, click done and enter combat with "z" or dbl click people and go fight! Hope this helps.
Look on the home page under updates and scroll down to the first blue 'read more' and watch the mad hermits video on combat. It is very helpful, well it was to me. It does sound like you didn't build your deck, you have to do that first thing. It is very fun then. We are here to help you.
There's documentation on all of this in the R8 release notes. Lum wrote up a nice document tutorial for combat in the community updates section of the forums as well as a video made by Chris in the same thread.
Yep, someone finally stopped ganking and t-bagging me and told me I needed to build a deck. The deck requirement wasn't intuitive for the uninitiated. Got a deck made, tested it out. Issue resolved. New problem, getting a lot of grey cards come up of an icon showing two tiny cards. Left standing there, with grayed out cards and gray cards, the t-bag repetitive ganking resumed. Combat is far from smooth, a lot of phasing/flickering enemy location/movement, and it's hard to tell what got me. I'll check back in a couple of months.
Now hold on here. I don't want to play with a deck, because I really really don't want that function, I want the ordinary style. That random system where skills pop up in the hot bar is..... I have no word for it that I want to put on this forum. Strange thing is, sometimes I can use one skill in my hotbar without using decks but after that the hotbar disappears. I thought there was a choice between using deck style and ordinary hotbar with stationary skills in combat? Do I have to use decks now?
Watch The Mad Hermit's videos guides here (scroll down the page until you find them), especially the one called 'how to build a traditional combat bar'. He explains everything very well. (Some things will look slightly different as there have obviously been a few additions to the skill trees since he made the videos.) Hope that helps!
