How about help for lousy players, like me...

We've learned quite a bit about the brain in recent years. The problem is that no one can agree on a definition of consciousness. However, it is undisputed that specific and measurable actions of the brain can effect how we perceive and respond to the environment.

But don't let me change the subject.

 

i don't recommend seeking out any professors of philosophy for their idea about this... in fact it might be good to just plain avoid modern philosophers all together.

There must be a medical definition that is reasonable though.

Well that's actually one of the benefits of being a Moongate Traveler. no passports necessary to travel. However there are some game related questions that are asked. Like how you want to play etc. Adventurer types and PvPers we accept easily, but people like PKs are scrutinized a bit. We want to make sure they won't kill people in the guild etc. It's a way to get to know the guy.
