How to post photos in the forum

I would like to post some photos of bugs I have found.

I can find the folder in steam and upload them to another site - facebook, but after that I get an error message.

Thanks for any advice.

 

You need a server for online storage, to which you can post a direct link for single files without requiring logon, such as this is hosted on my private paid webspace.



The link to the file would point to http://www.engelke.ws/SotA/olahorandacle.jpg.

When you have the image hosted online somewhere you'll need the URL for the image. When you have that you can make a post here and include it within the image tag manually or click the little square in the toolbar above your unsaved post that looks like it is a picture of the sun coming over the mountains and it will ask you for the URL.

To put it in the tag manually it's like this:

In addition to what has already been said, most free cloud services (where you can store photos) don't let you link to the image directly on their site to display the image on other sites.

Since I don't have or want my own server I started using the free Imageshack service a couple of years ago, but they changed it to a paid service overnight only after I had already linked to countless images. To prevent the links to those images from disappearing, I started paying a monthly subscription to the service. I think Photobucket still has a free service, but I decided not to switch for convenience's sake.

I just copy and paste picture on Discord, then copy the link over to here.

If you don't have your own hosting location for the images, websites like imgur.com are the next best thing.

 

What I do. I created a personal server for the pure reason of drag and drop screenshots and easy linking in posts in several forums.
