    Heya!

The duration of buff from the musical instrument is only 10s (about the time for a fighter to run near to a mob and take 2-3 swings), can anyone advise how to use them during combat effectively?

Or the player has to be a support in a party just playing the instrument throughout fight?

    Thank you!

Pretty much this. The tank captures aggro, then the bard(s) remains close playing the instrument. A lone player can manage short bursts of the buff as you noticed, sometimes even in combat, but it's not very practical.

I bought it from another player's vendor. :) But I supposed they drop like other artefacts off mobs.

and I don't have a musical artifact but to play music the command is /play or if you right click the item perhaps there is a 'use' item. And just not to confuse anyone further playing music in this game requires sheet music or music files downloaded to the sheet music file. So I might type /play georgia if I have that song in my sheet music folder or use a blank sheet music to put that song on it. Sorry I'm off topic. I am happy about the musical artifacts because it may mean more bard things will come in game for those who want to play a bard. And you may all know this and ok ;)
