I'm still having problems with the new combat UI. (not a rant)

I really don't like have a crosshair above my avatar's head. Is there a way I can just use the original classic MMO style combat system? If not, why do I press my LMB to swing instead of pressing skill buttons to fight? I'm lost.

Also, this is not a thread intended to start a rant. The new UI feels better this release than it did originally and I think it has potential once fleshed out, but I'm having a hard time using it. Maybe I'm just dumb?

 

Go into your Video options and turn the Reticle down to make it disappear.

 

There are lots of variations. Turn on/off auto attack, tab to lock or unlock cursor, charging up your hits. I'm still trying to find whats best for me. Ok, granted, my dexterity sucks and whatever I choose most heated combat turns into wild spinning and random button mashing
