Increase quantity of seeds available please

Can we please have the number of seeds available on merchants increased.

At the moment I can buy 10,000 buckets of water or I can buy 400 Large planting beds (which gives me 8,000 planting spots) in one go but seed quantity seems to range from 350 to around 480. which means when I need 6,000 I have to:

Open the vendor
Select Buy (this can be disabled but still...)
either enter "seed" in the search box or scroll past 107 (yes I counted) recipes to find the seeds I'm after
Double click to buy
Move the slider all the way to the end to buy the maximum stack size
Sign for the exchange.

I then repeat this 18 times when there is no viable reason to.

What makes it worse is that not every seed is available on every merchant so you have to spend 20 minutes running around the world checking different Merchants until you find the one that sells the seeds you actually want, then you can follow the steps above.

 

The wiki is decent when it comes to showing where the seeds are.........

 

The wiki doesn't address the issue of the annoyance factor when buying large quantities of seeds however.

 

I usually buy several thousand at a time. Especially when the price is down ;-)

 

Also I harvested at least 7 greenhouses of cotton and not one seed was earned for it. @Bzus please can we get some cool things like occasional seeds w e receive from harvesting our plants. Perhaps different from what we get from harvesting out in the world so that both ways of getting the resources are still valid.

 

@majoria70 mature plants will drop a seed 4% of the time when fully watered. I'm pretty sure they don't drop otherwise so maybe you missed a watering and also got the lower yield?

 

I definitely did miss a watering. I only watered them once after planting since I forgot to water them any other times. Thanks for the info. Still I do hope for some more interesting things to come to agriculture as well as cooking one day soon

 

How many plants in your 7 greenhouses, @majoria70 ?
And what are your hort skills ?
I get seeds back (not many) every time I harvest my 370 planting spots.

Edit: Just saw the post above, and the missed watering will kill ya on seed collection - not to mention the wasted crop..........
