Now that you have scattered recipes around so that specific recipes are only available from one or two different vendors, you need to remove the scaled pricing. It's really uncool that I can't get one of the new recipes soon after a it's introduction because the price quickly inflates 5-10 times the base value.

the prices usually settle down after a day or so.. I haven't found any of the new ones yet. I hesitate to put too much time into looking for exactly the reason you mention. I'll just wait till they come back down to normal pricing...I don't have to be the first kid on the block to have "item x" for sale on my vendor.

What happens when they release and get craploads of new players and only one merchant has a new recipe?

Thatès always been the case when new recipes come in. For a few hours as everyone chases the new recipes, the price skyrockets. Happened many times in the past in Owlès Head. I don`t see any need to change, even if the recipe is available from one vendor. It`s the price of being one of the first.

Ok well it seems pretty high to me and you have to have the skill to learn and gather all the resources to make anyway.

500 would have been better, one day of Oracle allowance.

Most of them are teachable... people could always sell them for more than 250, but less than the inflated prices.

.It is as you say...most of the starter recipes are readily available from NPCs or those willing to teach but ofc the sucky thing to that (and mind I've taught a lot of recipes) is once taught you can't re-teach. Hell for that matter.. a good portion of the recipes I know that *should* be teachable aren't (for me) because I learned so many back when you could discover them.

    heh.. also true.

So anyway fwiw... while traipsing about looking for the new recipes I DID run across some I didn't have. The Housing Deco merchants have several recipes and are often overlooked.
I was told the pillory is in Xenos although not at the carpentry merchant who although having a lot of needed stuff didn't have those. I failed to check the housing deco guy..I shall report back after finding them.

    Edit:

Fortus end has the antique dresser, Northwood has the clocks

As I mentioned yesterday...a little "day one" patience is in order.. I logged out in Northwood at the housing deco NPC (above the ank) in Northwood... when I got there all the new recipe prices were between ~ 1500 and 1800g

    A few hours later...

Y a know, I didn't. Heck with the forum search mechanic I can't even find it. There is however a thread that Lace started which can be found here..

    https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...-by-crafters-good-luck-with-that.96536/page-5

I'm gonna put all my finds there when I get a chance so they're more consolidated.
