You had the same opportunity as everyone else in the community to obtain said items. It is unfortunate that you did not purchase them when they we're offered to everyone in the community. You can't show up at McDonalds at noon and say it's not fair that you can't have an Egg McMuffin.

I think the comparison between houses in SotA and ships in SC has been covered a few pages back by @Numa... o_O

No i didnt have the same chance simply cause i didnt have that kind of money to invest. Do you believe all can afford investing that kind of money?

I dont like a crowd sourcing model that benefit the ones that have alot of real life money.

How rich you are and how much you can invest should not decide how well prepared you come to a game.

Everyone should start on equal terms.

The whole "pay to win" is a distraction, its not a binary choice of "pay to win" or "good", it has microtransactions, it IS nickle and dimming, therefore it was sold on a lie and THAT alone is bad, pay to win or not

Not having the money doesn't change the fact that you still had the same chance. I'm glad that the backers who originally helped fund the creation of this wonderful game are being rewarded for their financial support.

No i didnt have the same chance since i didnt have the money.

What is so hard to understand?

Without that kind of money it is hard to do the investment.

    Very simple economy.

I have to disagree with your interpretation of nickle and diming. I haven't bought any add-on items. Not a single one. By choice. I don't feel cheated. I don't feel pressured.

IF I had to pay for extra skills or extra levels (to break a level cap), that would be a different story, but this stuff seems VERY optional to me.

Wrong. It is not nickel and diming. It would be nickel and diming if you we're required to make purchases to continue playing the game. The add-on store is for people who CHOOSE to purchase the items. One must only buy the initial game to play.

I understand perfectly. You had the same chance, you just didn't have the same money. Is that Portalariums flaw that you did not have the finances to make a purchase of a limited item?

Exactly, i didnt have the money and for that reason i will come less prepared to this game. We are back at what i said many replies ago.

How rich you are and how much you can invest should not decide how well prepared you come to a game.

Having alot of real life money should not give you a upper hand in any way.

Do you think people would be investing thousands of dollars to fund the creation of a game if all they got was a "Thank You!"

It was clear from day one what Portalarium was offering for it's initial investors.

It would be naive to expect all the in game items Portalarium has created to be available for purchase forever, especially when they are clearly defined as limited availability items.

As i said i dont like the crowd sourcing model SotA decided to have.

Having lots of real life money should not in any way give you a upper hand.

I believe we have gone the full circle now so we just have to accept we have different views on this.

    BTW

By DEFINITION that's not just a vanity item. IF they want to go down the path of vanity microtransactions FIRSTLY the game should have been free to play not full price (as this will be sold as) not to mention what WE have paid for it AND the items should be decorative ONLY with no functionality. ie they should be Path of Exile. This is not that model, its the insidious model that EA uses and people are waking up to that fact, very few people will buy this at launch for that very reason. I'm certainly not going to recommend it to my friends.

You can take RG out of EA but apparently you can't take EA out of RG

That's why I have no problems with it. Besides, these people who spent and will spend thousands more won't have much time playing the game anyways. They'll be too busy making more money in real life. LOL!

I'am sorry to hear that. Hopefully they will hear all the good things when this game takes over the world.
