Title: Can not open gates in Eastreach Gap

Reproduction Rate: Unknown (seems consistent, going to Novia and back didn't help)

Details: Entering Eastreach Gap from the Desolis side, I tried to break open the gate, my cursor wouldn't turn green and no amount of clicking or pressing "e" would cause me to do anything with the gate. Thinking it was just the one gate acting up, I took the western path (to jump in between the gates) and after fighting my way to the southern gate, I can ALSO not affect it. (I was asked in guild chat if I was over capacity, so let me say I wasn't)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Enter Eastreach Gap from the north
2. go to gate
3. try to break open gate
4. fail
5. take the western path to the inner gate
6. try to break it open
7. fail
8. /stuck

reproduction confirmed cant open gates

 

If you guys are getting "unable to move to object." please move forward again. After a couple kicking attempts I could get both to open. This is on build 622.

 

Nope, it just wasn't doing anything, since there have been a few patches pushed I'll check it again; maybe it was related to another bug fixed.

 

As of 16:30 New Zealand time 4/7/17 the Eastreach gap patch 623 is still broken ,@DarkStarr ,@Lexie

 

I'm having the same issue, I entered from the south and could break the first gate, but cannot open the "latch" on the northern gate. When I mouse over the latch (the big piece of wood I need to lift) it has a mouseover of "Open gate" but my cursor does not turn green and when I click on the wood piece, nothing happens.

Edit: relogging does not appear to fix the issue. Also, when I finally spent the 1500 gold to get to the other side, I tried going back to the gate and could not break it from the opposite side, either. It just won't open.

 

I can confirm that after kicking the gate twice, the green arrow disappeared The tooltip to *break open gate* will display, but there is no way to do it. I logged out and resumed. Returning gave me the red aura for low health. I logged out all the way and signed back it - the same result as before, no way to open the gate and the red glow for low health persisted. There was no other message. See movie below:

(between these two threads, we have a lot of reproductions of this bug, on many different configurations.)

 

One thing I noticed while attempting to repro this (on the same build) is to check the logs - you can attempt to kick and nothing will happen but it will say you are too far away. Standing closer will work.
Be sure to check the chat log for any system feedback and report back please?

 

Nope. No "Unable to move to object. Please move closer." found in the chat log. Besides, I was standing extremely close to the gate.

 

We have discovered a repro case for the bug observed, and are working on a resolution. It appears that break conditions are observed if loading into a scene that has an interactive gate that was previously in an open/opening active state. Bug ID: 47937
