4. Details: The Gate key hole says it's unlocked. I open the gate and it plays the open gate sound but the gate physically does not open.

I have the same issue. Also tried to Start from map, but unable to destroy the 3 keys.
Upon entering the Artifice, I spawn in front of that children's gate, again unable to interact with the door.

 

Same for me too, on patch 683. Came through on an alt that had never done it before. Door unlocks with Key of Envy, but will not operate. Cursor does not change color over door. The floor trap doesn't help the door work either.

Also, tried to talk to a child behind the door, chat window appears but attempts at conversation get no reply.

EDIT: I was sure that it was possible to leave Artifice, but I can't find an exit, and talking to the guards doesn't help. Since I can't go forward and I can't go back, I guess I'll have to... Start on World Map!
