My vendor in Serenite has been doing this, too.

 

This is happening to me as well. Listed something tonight at 8pm EDT and at 11:58pm EDT he's sitting down already.

 

This is occurring again. Possibly positional due to proximity of lot edge?

To be clear, the criteria for sitting/standing is not just "activity." The vendor will stand if it has a listing on it (buy order, or item for sale) that is newer than 2 weeks. If, for example, you have a lot of listings older than two weeks and your vendor is sitting, if you add a new one, he should stand. However, if you cancel that listing or someone fulfills it, then the vendor will sit again if it doesn't have any other listings that are newer than two weeks. Also note that it could take up to 5 minutes for the vendor's status to change after adding a listing.

Not saying this is the best system, but that is what it is set to right now. With that clarified, anyone here still experiencing a vendor sitting when they have a listing on them newer than 2 weeks old? The screenshot does seem to show this case, and I will investigate it.

 

Yes. I listed half a dozen items and two hours later, my vendor was sitting down. The date of the item listing was the same as the current date - by the logic above, he should be standing.
