Land available? Current build content? Music? And an easy build.

Hey guys,

I haven't played in a year. Now that the world is persistent, I'll be coming back. I have a few questions:

1) Is land (plots?) available for purchase still? And with coin earned in-game, not in the store?

2) What main features are in the current game? I'm sure I could dig through a developer post somewhere, but I'm just looking for a brief summary.

3) Did player music ever make it in? If so, can people play together in a band, like in LOTRO?

4) I'm so old and slow. What's a basic, easy PvE build I can try? Melee or ranged is fine.

OK, thank you. You have to buy a plot and house through the store? You can't earn it in-game?

 

There will be some kind of a lottery system for in-game lot purchase.

 

The 30% of lots set aside for in-game consumption will be distributed by lottery. NPC vendors will sell tickets. the lot is awarded to the winning ticket, no further purchase necessary. You will need a house if it is not a row lot.

 

OK, thanks again. Once you get a lot, can you buy a house with in-game currency? Or is it in the store only?

 

I think there are some houses available from vendors in-game and some are craftable. If you get a row lot deed then the house you see on the lot before you claim the lot will remain on the lot when you claim it, so you don't really need to buy a house for a row lot.

 

OK, thanks! Couple more questions:

Is polearm a viable weapon for PvE? With heavy armor, I guess.

If you become an archer, do you have to kite mobs much in PvE, or can you pretty much stand still?

 

That depends on the armor you're wearing.

 

What armor type would allow you to be an archer and "face-tank?" Heavy? Also, can you shoot at point blank range?

Yes and yes but there might be penalties for wearing heavy armor. However, standing there and taking a beating kind of defeats the overall purpose of ranged combat.

 

I was hoping to have the targets mostly dead by the time they got to me. Is it really meant to be a mobile, kiting, light/medium armor style?

It is my first time on your forums.

I have a house and a plot (town tower) and am looking forward to trying to place them . An initial problem logging in has now been solved thank you

When I first played UO it took me so long to get enough money that there was not one plot available on my server (Atlantic), I cried in frustration. It would be wrong for someone my age to cry so please help ^.^
