I am really liking how R6 is looking ascetically however I feel the contrast between shaded areas and non shaded areas is much to great. A person cannot see into a shaded area during the middle of the day. Examples of this would be the vendors under their canopies or the shaded side of a building. Shadows under these conditions should not be this extreme.

    Thanks for listening!

Known Issue: We accidentally turned down the secondary lights so shadows are way too dark right now

*already posted before Darkstarr's reply was seen* :)

Yes.. I'm actually confused how this has gotten through to release, unless it is just my machine, but it is not good. I thought my armor was bugged pure black until I realized it's just the lighting. For a period during the day, just about every building was extremely dark. But my skin is shining radioactively!

My settings are on top quality, high shadows, anti-aliasing and ambient obscurance on. The last picture shows what it looks like with low shadow and ambient obscurance unchecked- the facade of my house looks bugged.

All buildings looked like this to me-

It took me a moment to even find the door-

On the image below - see the ripples in the shadows on the building below the ledges? That is what I assume to be grass shadows... It ripples and sways and creates a pretty awful visual effect. I can see this on many buildings and fences.

The below image is what happened when I turned shadows to low and unchecked the ambient obscurance thingy.

The grass(?) shadows I mentioned above might not be a 'too dark' issue though.. I don't think you want that at all
