Very Cool..... That means I get double Exp for my Birthday too!! I love it! It's the Big 60 this year!

 

so does that mean everyone will get 4x exp or just you and lord british?

 

I'm just strange, I feel like I get enough adventuring XP, it's the producer XP I want. But every now and then I like to grind solo just for the zen of it. My favorite these days is in Grindus Colossus, but I also like Moors of Northshore for having lots of things to harvest.

It just started, 10AM NBT. Gotta let the 'Strayans start their weekend early. It requires a scene reload, so if you see the instance closing message, click Yes, or go somewhere else.

 

I say keep the adventuring exp the same and make it ONLY double Producer exp... that way the crafter's would FINALLY be almost on par with the adventure experience gains. Keep the producer exp double and make it the new norm levels for crafters.

I wouldn't mind if it was a little more rare, and split into either adventurer or producer XP. Mainly because the best spots for producer aren't the same as the best spots for adventurer, and I wouldn't feel like I'm missing out on one by doing the other. But that's a really minor thing, and I don't much mind if it's both at the same time, too.

I do really like the idea of making it an obsidian potion, though. Make each one last 8 hours. Instead of a weekend of double XP, you'd get maybe 3-4 potions. Granted, those who have the time/schedule to make full use of a period of double XP might not like it, but I suspect most people would accept a smaller amount of time that occurs at their choosing rather than several days, of which maybe they can only use part of anyway.

Of course, I freely admit that this is because I got a puppy, and so until he's a few months older, my ability to get online and play is going to be sporadic and unplanned.

 

Double xp...I disapprove of this.

Puppies (dogs) make us better IRL. This is a good trade off!! Some of my most contented times were when getting acquainted with and dealing with a new dog. Thanks for sharing.

 

Yeah, but they really eat into your gaming time. He's fairly mellow for a puppy, but he's still a puppy. Hopefully this means once he grows up a little, he'll be content to just hang out while I play. (/AFK What, you need to go outside? Okay, just let me get back to the overworld first.) But for now, I'll be lucky to get more than an hour or two per week.

 

Anyone have information regarding the actual start and stop times for double exp? Seems like is started Friday morning and ran through the start of workday Monday morning? Is this what we can expect on future weekends?

It started Friday at 10:00AM, ended Monday at 10:30AM.

 

Apologies for the pedantry; if double XP becomes permanent it is no longer double XP and then simply the norm that we all become used to.

I think the +x% scrolls or other items ideas that others have suggested (or implemented in their own games) is the best direction. Give people a choice when they will get best use of increased gains. Put a cap on it. Done.

 

Yeah, a 48hr double xp scroll to use whenever would be much more useful. (not tradable)

 

When do weekends start/end? What time and in which time zone?

 

I would also like to know if it starts now or tomorrow.
