Mainpage Feedback

The new colour scheme on the mainpage is hurting my eyes. It feels fluorescent instead of warm.

I also prefer the older color scheme, bright white hurts my eyes.

 

I also liked it the way it was. Not sure why the change was desired.

 

I personally like the new one more. Sorry about that.

 

I agree. I like the old color scheme better. That toothpaste green is pretty hideous.

 

I tend to like the new one. The other was a little too yellow. Yellow has always bothered me. But then, I also favor the soothing blue of the winter lamps over the fiery orange of the summer lamps, so maybe I just like the cooler more sterile colors...

But seriously, it’s not that I don’t like it, it’s that it hurts my eyes. As soon as it comes up my eyes are stressed and it takes a couple of seconds for them to relax afterwards.

Perhaps slightly less yellow is fine but I liked the more scroll/paper feel to the announcements feed and homepage. The new cool blue whatever strains my vision and is offputting.

 

I like the new one too but as a compromise perhaps the glare of it can be tuned down a bit.

Same. As much as I hate low-contrast color schemes (which the previous wasn't), this is just too much contrast.

I re-skinned the forum with CSS overrides, and I used a light gray background for messages, not full FFFFFF white.

 

Looking at this in bed on an iPhone in night mode - the classic theme is better
