Title: Major FPS drop with R53
    Reproduction Rate: 100%
    Blocker? no
Details: I have now plaid enough with this release to be certain that with my specs, my FPS in combat situations is significantly lower than it used to be. I have noticed this in several scenes, at least forest sieges, Lost Vale and Superstition Canyon. When playing alone in forest sieges/lost vale I used to be steadily above 60, usually 80-100, but I am now dropping to 50s and occasionally even 40s. (In superstition I even saw FPS drop down to ~25, which is unplayableto me)

This is happening to me even though none of my PCs resources use (RAM, CPU, GPU, disk read/write) is above 60%.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz (8) System RAM: 32698
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU RAM: 8086
    SotA.Win.64.769.Date.04.27.18
    Area: POT_forest_metropolis_01_template/Novia Market
    Area Display Name: Novia Market
    Loc: (71.4, 38.0, 234.5)
    Debug: UE9UX2ZvcmVzdF9tZXRyb3BvbGlzXzAxX3RlbXBsYXRlfE5vdmlhIE1hcmtldHwoNzEuMzY3LCAzOCwgMjM0LjQ2NSl8KDAsIDAsIDAsIDEpfDB8MTB8MS4yNQ==

I agree on this bug report, I am also having issues with performance.

Investigating. The frame rate is better overall based on metrics and the biggest improvement should be in combat so I'm curious what is going on.

@Armeleon Vesaz Are you still seeing a frame rate drop? I just looked on the metrics box and it looks like you're running at 60-110fps most the time which is bonkers. Lowest fps I have for you outside of superstition was in a POT at 44fps.

It looks like your superstition canyon framerate problem might be related to some bad knowledge settings but investigating further. I show a window where you were running at 25.8 fps there so continuing my search around that time window...

@Chris Yes I am. Just did a test run in a forest siege and I'm hovering around exactly the numbers I stated. Mid-combat mostly 50s, sometimes 60+. And once dropped to the 40s.

Superstition is definitely the worst. But I'm still seeing a noticeable change in sieges as well, which used to be steadily above 70.

I know I'm being a big snob about this, but it's only because all of the awesome performance progress you guys have been making that I got used to never noticing any changes in performance and now I do again. Temporarily I assume :p

Im experiencing the same issue. My fps has been great for several releases but im experiencing the hitching that i used to have from months ago.

Current theory is there is message spamming issue caused there by elementals in ambush state. Still investigating.

I've noticed the hitching in zones with no elementals (Nightshade Pass).

You're forgetting Xavara the Fire Pillar (for the fire elemental summon quest).

PS - I noticed sluggish performance there last night also.

Dunno what happened with this latest update, but I went from around 30+ fps and playable to pretty much a slideshow with barely any input response even for menus loading on even the overworld.

edit: Nix this seemed to be a driver issue that I fixed.

Heads up, we did not repro this yet so a fix didn't make our last patch. You'll have to live with 25 FPS at the CP for another 4 weeks. :(
