Mimic in the Add-On store =)

Totally stole the idea from over here:

But it was too good not to place here as well.

What if you could buy/get your own mimic to place in your house?
They have already talked about placing pets in the house, so why not a surprise for snooping guests wandering into your private quarters?

 

Yes, I saw that idea and thought is was quite funny, I would buy one so long as it doesn't try to eat my cats

 

Still wait to get the chests mimics in my mazes. Find the real treasure chest^^

 

A chest mimic would be funny...and to watch thiefs while they try it to open

 

I think this would make an awesome pet. Maybe it would be a non-combat mimic. It would just sit there, scare an unexpected thief, jump around or chase you for a little while and then return back to its closed position.

Or a barrel mimic next to your home... I *like* the potential very much!

 

Hmmm... Imagine coming back to your home and finding your servant with a mimic stuck to his arm?!...

unless this is a FAKE mimic that does nothing except look cool in your house, this is a terrible idea.


on the other hand, a purchase-able Mimic jack in the box (that looks like a real one) that springs open when u walk to close to it as a house decoration, now THAT is an excellent idea.

 

Or even a mimic pumpkin that jumps at ppl for Halloween to decorate your front door for R11.

Cosmetic items == perfectly awesome.

Selling mechanics is when you are going to get a lot of ppl pissed off about perceived p2w stuff in the store.

Yep. it should spring to life when something approaches close enough, and then wander around for a few minutes before settling back into the spot it was placed. (If it can't reach the spot it was placed, then there should be a timeout causing it to reappear there)

True, but that's the only way it'll ever get on the Add On Store -- and if there's also an in-game way to purchase or tame as well.

Now if we can also get a non-combat pet spider dog.
