My defense of Cannibalism YMMV

    In my background lore, the cannibalism is not because of being a crazed maniac. It was due to the shardfall and lack of food that ensued. It was a choice of do or die. The people that died to give food are now vengeful spirits. The first person that found the "crypt" and unlocked an evil necromancing Liche was me, and I was possessed and turned into a cannibalistic lich. It is the "hunger". I do so because of necessity not because of want. I just wanted to explain my premise. Now I never claimed to be a good writer. I have had no formal training. I just "wing it". IF you guys do not want me to play htis role let me know and I will forfeit it and make another background. I already sacrificed my original home because of another. Why not do something different again. Its pre launch. Please read my background.

    Makes perfect sense to me o_O

    Of course, I might be a little biased, because cannibals do figure into some of my plays (i.e., the Kaitoth - a tribe of hunters who resorted to cannibalism during the Great Cataclysm in order to survive :eek:)

    Plenty of critters in the woods....

    Role play the character you want though, I'd say.

    However, remember it works both ways. Taking on a controversial character trait opens it up for others to role play revulsion to that trait. It comes with the territory when selecting such a role for your character, and you have to be prepared for that. I'd guess you would want to keep portrayal of such a trait squarely in the role playing arena. If it is something that one has to constantly defend in a real world philosophic context, I agree that sounds like a tough road.

    That is the point. Not everything is beautiful in a world is it? There has to be some Yin and Yang. Am I wrong?

    i really find that role interesting. one of the reasons i wrote you into some of my lore as someone who had both business dealings with, and a sort of....friendship... guess its all the alcohol my toon drinks/brews - you dont like the preservatives?

    If your strong in courage then you will eat whomever for survival. Only a coward wouldn't. Chances are, if you are in that type of situation than theirs canyon be too good, so you have to cook em out of love. It you take care of tradition and prepare their burial or sacrifice properly, sounds like you are doing the honorable thing.

    How's that for philosophical.

    As a fellow cannibal, I fully support this. I would hope that just because of this role, people would have the sense to understand it is a role. If not, they will be first eaten. That's all.

    Interesting philosophying... at what point cannibalism becomes a nerd fantasm ?

    I would kill myself before I even think about hurting an animal that is thrown in a survival situation against forces of nature with me.

    Some situation might guide me to eat a fish or a bird if I was assured I'm not harming their collective livelihood.

    Virtues teach many things along those lines, humility teaches human isn't superior to other forms of life. NOT because you have scientific proof, having proof defeats the faith required for the virtues to promote creativity and not stagnation ; everyone knows that. BUT because the humble man realises the mysteries of creation are beyond the ultimate rationalisation that is required for him to fear death so much that it becomes something worth hitting other consciousnesses for.

    WINDMILLS !!! CHARGE !!!
