Been awhile since I posted or looked everyone's things but last week a tear came to my eye when after 15 years of waiting (have to have published a song at least 25 years ago so 40 year wait) Pat Benatar finally got a nomination to rock and roll hall of fame. There are some purists somewhat like me who went what Madonna in before Pat, Joan Jett etc who paved the way for female rockers .. and while I know Pat long long before #MeToo chastised the industry for DJ's saying get in my lap and I will play your song (remember no you tube they had to physically suck up to these men city to city to get airplay, I feel she has been snubbed for years by industry for saying NO. Even though she was 2nd video every played on MTV and it made her lead guitarist and future husband at the time the first guitarist ever on MTV.. I have felt sad for the non rock and roll hall of fame nomination.
4 time Grammy winner, 2 multi platinum. 5 platinum, 3 gold an 15 top 40 songs not bad for a ROCK AND ROLL girl in the day. Thank god for gay men that took her to a Liza Minnelli concert and got her to quit her bank teller job and go pro singer! She didn't want to be solo artist she wanted to be like Zeppelin with Plant and Palmer and has always tried to push Neil more to forefront but labels at the time always wanted her sex. It took years for Neil to be shown as the producer/guitarist he is in some cases.
I want to show her 40 years ago for the song that brought me to her .. and then 40 years later. You can see her Julliard training has preserved her voice all these years .. I wonder how many stars of today will be able to hit the same note 40 years later (I know she cheats on some songs sometimes live now) but mostly its all there with her same guitar player and husband of 35+years, that doesn't happen often even in a non celeb life.

I dont care if you vote for others but give my girl some love between now and January 10th 2020 (which happens to be her birthday just saying yeah I am stalkerish to know that)
2019 with the ring of fire mashup from johnny cash (they like to think of their love a bit like johnny and june)
It was rattling around my head all day, thought I would share it here ❤️
To some sailing the Man'o'War into a storm would cause anxiety, to this man it was pure adrenaline and euphoria. Enjoy the voyage into your inner mind and just let go *winks* R/Boris/El Pirata from House Serenite/Black Sails Forever.
"The drummers assemble on the beach and the tall elegant man drops a sack of gold on the ground then makes an announcement."
Can any of you ladies keep up with this beat, if you can let me know *grins*.
Another 80's classic by Paula Abdul. I'm just bummed that Mattel never released their follow up song by Michael Jackson called "Doing the GI Joe"
Environmental conscious punk rock song, got stuck in my head after the Paris agreement pull out.
