I've had a chance to play the game for a couple of weeks now and I'm starting to get the hang of it. However, there are 2 major issues I'm having right now :D

    1) Bank - I started off in Soltown where I saved a lot of my harvested resources. Now that I have decided to move, all of my things are stuck in Soltown and it would take me forever to move items to my new place (Owl's Head). Which brings me to my next gripe...

    2) Recall - Being spoiled in UO where we had mark/recall, I was highly disappointed to find out we can only recall to 1 bound place. So, to move all of my stuff, I have to run all the way to Soltown, then recall back to Owl's Head (if I'm not over encumbered). It's a long trek for me especially being on an older computer (2011 Macbook Pro) and is highly frustrating. Where are you mark/recall or even better gate! :(

Leave the granite, it's very heavy and you won't need it. Put everything else on you and make one slow walk to owl's head. Equip the coconuts during your journey, they will make you go faster even when encumbered.

Yeah, the banking situation is a major frustration for lots of us with small amounts of space. Glad to have you with us though. 8^)

I'm most impressed that you are playing with a 2011
    MacBook Pro!
I tried to play a few times but gave up.

Kinda happy my cat dumped water on it one night so I had to get a new one.

I had to make the shift to a nEw town in the same way. Hard stuff. Now that I'm in my new town I've found a few other places I'd probably frequent but either don't Because it's too far from my bank or only do so for he RP, and end up getting there when there is no one around. :(

    Perhaps this is an option:

Kor's Moving Service - Move inventory quickly with my 1200+ weight capacity

    DISCLAIMER:
I am not associated with this guy or do I know what he charges. I just saw it on the Marketplace.

Another option would be to make friends with several people and have a beer party in Owls head after everything is moved

Many hands make the work light and beer always brings a crowd.

Welcome @icyplains. I recommend pointing your avatar in the right direction and then pressing + on your numpad (or whatever the Mac equivalent is). Browse the forums and check back occasionally in case of required direction changes or random encounters.

    What does the + do?

It does not seem to do anything on my Windows 10 machine.

    Edit:
I see your post below mine and I forgot I changed my autorun to [ instead because my Surface Pro keyboard does not have a keypad separate.

It's possible that I may have changed it from the default - I can't recall.

You might have to remap the key to get it to work... But the keypad + is the default currently (confused the heck out of me as it used to be the numlock key at one point).

What a great community :) Everyone is so helpful and kind!

Great ideas too. I'm trying to build up my strength, but it is slow going being an archer. Too bad it doesn't raise using mining and lumberjack like in UO.

@Olthadir - I have 16GB of RAM and an SSD. However, I was unable to play using MaxOS - I couldn't even load Soltown. I used BootCamp to dual-boot with Windows 10 and it works although I get an average of 5fps I'm guessing. Is there a way to display your fps? I guess there are some optimizations that need to be done on the Mac side regarding Unity. I'm waiting for the new Macbook Pros to be announced, which is hopefully soon, before I upgrade. I also do iOS development, video editing, and music production and use Mac-only applications or I would just buy a Windows box.

    @icyplains

Moving is always a chore, but remember that you can be crawling and zero focus, and still get to your end point after some time.

Just throw everything on you, and move from Soltown towards the vacant pass after the Necropolis. Travel past it and move slowly up toward Kiln, then bank right and travel towards the Brittany coast.

From there, take a boat over to Hidden Vale and you know the rest.

Tips as mentioned are to put auto run on, and do something else in RL, cutting nails, watching TV, reading a book, playing a handheld game etc.

FYI they are planning to implement a bulk mailing system at one point - so you can adventure / gather in an area far from home, then pay an NPC shipping service to send it to your bank-town of choice.

I don't see vacant pass on the map. I got to brightbone pass. Is that what you meant?

just along the shore from brightbone pass, past the necropolis, you keep going a bit more along the mountain range and theres a pass there that you can scoot through on the overworld map.. :)

Follow the ugly red arrow I drew which shows the path through the vacant pass and onto the direction towards Kiln and the central mainland.
