No patters/Bowstaves/Strings dropping from scrapping

I am a lvl 100 in carpentry scrapping and nothing but woodscrap and a very low amount of elven woodwind longbow patterns are dropping (2 out of 125 bows scrapped) . I am also using a maple band a devotional carpentry buff and a +5 carpentry table. is this intentional or broken? I have scrapped at least 400 bows at different expert tables since 51 and not received a single bow string.

 

AFAIK only elven bows with max dur 100 when looted can drop bow strings (as shown in their description)

lower max dur does not show the elven bowstring so i don't think you can salvage those out of them

 

You are correct, a few releases ago that changed. Then it was so you could get them from some of the bows with higher top numbers (over 50 and green) Now they do not drop off of ANY of the bows. Nothing, not just the strings, but also the bowstaffs. Is anyone still getting the strings?
