    There are many publicly available crafting tables available in POTS or even in NPC towns. The ingame map should let you know which towns or cities near where you adventure have one.

    Off the top of my head here are some:

    Desolis
    Owl's Head
    Wizard's Rest
    Lux Sanctuary
    Serpent's Watch
    ...and many many more

    These all have the +5 crafting tables arranged in one crafting garden.

    Lots in towns far from the major cities should have much lower taxes. You shouldn't be paying the same amount as what you would pay for a lot in Ardoris or Central Brittany.
