Was watching a video where someone was trying to interact with an NPC while holding the cocnuts and the NPC would not respond until the coconuts were put away. I don't know if this is still an issue but you may want to keep this in mind if you intend to use them. :)

Yes this is true, you can't speak while mounted... I'm not sure about talking to players.

    "The New Britannia Coconut Steeplechace"?
Does that sound good for everyone?
PM if you wish to be involved with setting this up... then we'll get a good time set from our radio station... and then ask for volunteer officiates.... and then we'll post it for player entries...
Does that sound like a plan? o_O
PM Time Lord for becoming involved in planning... ;)
Ideas and input very welcomed :)!

Yes, swapping the deck using the Y key. The swap deck icon on the bottom right is not active when coconut equipped.

So THATs what coconut halves are for. Honestly, I until now had no idea whT they are for. I thought they are some joke of a weapon that you equip and then bash mobs on the head with, so I just ignored them in my inventory. When I just started playing, I saw a guy in starter Area skipping around like on a stick and heard hoof sounds. I thought to myself", hmm that's a neat emote haha!". Now I know what does that and will exploit this new game feature everywhere I go...

I don't normally use coconuts, but when I do, I put a horse mask on.

Yep, that's what I was looking for. (I thought it odd not to have already happened) Great answer and thanks @Spoon !

~Does Anyone Know Top Speed Modifiers?~
So, how fast are they? I mean, how fast can they go and what effects their speed?
This has been very puzzling to me o_O...
    How modified can they be?
    ~Time Lord~

It was a while ago and some of the glyphs have changed since then.

It used to be that spring affected top speed which was then multiplied by mount.
However that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

But the thing that won the races back then was to have the paperdoll open then drag one 'nut' out of the doll, but don't drop it, then with the keyboard keys fire off the glyphs, then drop the 'nut' back on the doll and run like hell. << Hell - since we did the last one when the nighmare mount had just been released (burning coconuts+nightmare horse head).
But the next release some of that didn't work anymore. So I don't know the present situation.

I think we had about double normal speed according to the 'V' window.

The problem with such races though was that you can't jump, so you had to build specific colloseums with such races in mind + it was more fun if stuff like gust or confusion was allowed for the audience.

    Thanks @Spoon~Sounds Complicated~
Reminds me of an early UO Boomerang Fireball Trick where you target yourself, mount a horse fire the fire ball, the fire ball then shoots off the screen, then dismount the horse and remount the horse which then brings the fireball back to strike the caster but tags the caster as a criminal... (or something like that)... :p
I remember the last time I demonstrated it was on a Japanese Shard, and they all were so happy I showed it to them  just before they killed me...

It would be a very strange thing to see a group of people come together with purpose of skipping around the predetermined track, while holding two coconut halves and wearing horse heads, but I have a strange notion that I would be one of them... Haha :). There is something strangely attractive in all that awkwardness.

You can use the swap deck button to equip your coconuts but you can't use it to switch back. :(

I personally don't see the reason for all the restrictions when mounted.

I've posted a number of times in the feedback forum about not being able to use the swap deck button while mounted. They were all ignored by the devs. :(
