    I really couldn't agree more with this overall conversation. There are soooo many great points made in this video it's unbelievable. My only wish is that the conversation hadn't stopped when it did.

    If you haven't watched Pat's stream where he actually plays these games, you should. Ranting, yes. But deservedly so.

    I'm in the process of doing that now. So far it's just very entertaining watching him die over and over again. :)

    ...and hearing comments like "Yeah, that's what I needed is a whole tub of butter. I guess I'll eat a tub of butter the next time I need healing."

    I'm still waiting for book 3 of the Kingkiller Chronicle! Can't wait for it to be done because he is a tremendously talented writer. Thanks for sharing! :)

    This is fantastic. I really wish SOTA had someone like Rothfuss on board as an advisor for the story/lore. I know they have had input from the Sword of Midras author, Tracy Hickman, but I feel they need someone on a more hands-on, permanent basis. Even if it's just a monthly input into quests/story/lore.

    p.s. If Pat Rothfuss ever does a kickstarter for a 'King Killer Chronicles' game I'll definitely be backing that.

    Maybe another story advisor for each episode? I love Tracy's work, but with guys like Pat, Elizabeth Moon, and Brandon Sanderson around, its hard not to want to hear their takes on the setting. Heck, I'd love to see Lynn Abbey come back; maybe there is a draft of her sequel to Temper of Wisdom somewhere that backers might be able to read!

    The Pillars of Eternity story wasn't super amazing even if I did enjoy the game. And if you want to talk "realism", no D&D or inspired economy and ecology survives even a cursory glance.
