Pets idea of "near" is very dubious

    Pets seem to wander off more in combat than they used to, to the point

    I approached from behind here so my pet has now run down right in to the middle of the camp and.. guess what.. DIED.. as did I twice in a row..

    why does my pet feel near is so far away and more over given its pansyness why does it run right into the middle of like 12 mobs?

    Something happened to make water elementals a lot less useful in R54. Now instead of healing, it wants to run off to shoot stuff, which draws aggro and gets it killed. Unfortunately, setting it to "Passive" also disables the healing. Also, you might want to know that the follow distance setting does not get saved between summonings.

    Problems with pet behaviors go beyond this. Not sure how to report except to say pet behaviors are borked.
