The land rush has begun...

Pick your spot quickly before they're all gone! (YOU CAN VIEW RESULTS FIRST before selecting!)

• It is assumed that all of the choices are in NPC towns. No POTs and not Player Run Towns are considered for this exercise.
• It is also assumed that size of lot doesn't matter. Lot location is really the only factor involved here.
• I put fictional numbers beside each choice to represent a limited quantity.
• I tried to make the ratio of these numbers somewhat believable. I anticipated that perhaps 50 to 100 people would participate in this poll.
• For the purpose of this exercise we'll say that anyone selecting their pick beyond that number has not gotten their first choice.
• I've also put a time limit on this poll to simulate the end of the rush. (The poll is open for 1 month)

Did you get the pick you wanted? If this happen during the real land rush, how would you feel about it? Would you run to the forums to complain?

If you would spend as much time in Rat's Nest as you do here, I wouldn't have such a hard time taking your head.. But if you must know.. our home city overlooking the exits. Incase I am needed to defend those who prefer to craft and supply me with gear and reagents instead of getting all bloody..

 

I'm looking forward to our first encounter, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. I'm a bit of a shut in.

 

Well with all the discord about this particular subject, I think the logical solution would be 4 to 10 story condos in all the per-concieved and so called sweet spots in all the various cities in question. I am sure they could be designed in such a way as to blend in quite beautifully. They could be available per room number and would be quite lucrative as to in game and out game motives. In my opinion it would be a nice solution to all the division about lot selection. They have the various towers, so why not the condo's? In my humble opinion the perfect solution.

 

They do plan to let people rent out parts of their homes POST-WIPE. So this could very well happen to some degree, but it would be players in contract with other players.

I think that's going to help large towns stay active and move a lot of casual and new players into small rental properties that will ultimately be great for the game.

Picked the entrance, so I can find my way in/out easily.

But better yet, I'd know it was my house right there and not have to wander all over town trying to find it in an ocean of other player homes. Even with the markers, it can get a bit time consuming.

 

Could be a useful metric to determine interest in and those choosing to reside in PoTs.

Btw, the land rush lasts for like two months.

 

Which is why I object to the use of the word "Rush." Slightly less than 300 people will have their turn prior to my opportunity... 8 days after it starts.
