Placeable Items on POTs

Currently there are a number of items that can be placed on any flat POT location without requiring the area to be claimed through a lot deed. The number of such items is limited (Holdfast: 20; Hamlet: 30; Village: 40; Crossroads Village: 50; Town: 80; City: 100; Metropolis: 130), as is the selection. The wishing well, fences, skeletons and street lamps are examples of items that are on the list.

This is a heartfelt plea to add notes and books to that list. Why? To facilitate player created content: quests and visual story telling.

Consider the following picture:



I have placed a skeleton and a note. I can do that because in this case it is within the property boundary. If I try to do the same thing in a remote forest on the island, waiting to be discovered by an exploring player, I cannot do it. Books and notes cannot be placed.

Please, please change this so that we can help Portalarium by adding our own interesting content to the game.

 

Really like this idea! Not to mention books and notes aren't very graphically intense, so they would be a pretty efficient thing to have as off lot deco. I always love finding little notes scattered in the other areas of the game, and I think this would add a lot of richness to the POT experience without a lot of work on the devs' side.

 

They have already stated that the amount of items will increase, just not by how much yet.

But yes please ANY item we have should be place able if it fits

Notes and books is how the owners can "talk" with explorers. Make it so!

 

I like the concept, but wouldn't we all complain when the Luna Ardoris/Owls Head gold sellers begin cluttering the landscape with their books?

 

this would just be in player owned towns. You can always avoid the ones with too much spam.
