What is the point of these Encounters - there appears to be nothing to make me want to even bother - they are simply an interruption in movement on the overland.

BTW all I did was let Autto Attack and the Summons go to work - WEAK.

The time has come and gone for players to just waste time on bad content.

Are not these supposed to be scaled to level? I had at one time ran in and was confronted by yellows, N-I-C-E, and even found a chest in one (junk loot, but a nice direction).

Come on give it to me make me bleed when I get dragged in and if I survive give me something worth my time / effort.

These Encounters don't care about us, our time, our loot or success - that's like in real life :)

May be one day we gain a special item and may be after a few times they know not to bother us again ;)

I take these the same was as I do cloned scenes. They will be changed at a later date.

Dynamic spawns on the overworld map are probably the most important story telling feature this game can offer.

You know, Episode 3ish, when they get around to it.

There should be a chest in all of them. Right now it is just the Bandit encounters.

I would love for a random special dragon or maybe a Cabalist as a possible encounter. Maybe have them roaming the map and possibly invading towns. This might require the town to higher guards.

Maybe a named bandit boss in the bandit encounters. A named Lich in the skeleton encounters. A special named mob in each of the encounters would be cool. Maybe have them have a chance to drop a special named sword or armor set.

Current resource viability of Roving Encounters explained.

The encounters are easy if they are encountered don the road (or int he desert or forest). They are much more difficult if encountered in an open field away from a road.

Both Easy AND hard encounters contain wood, ore, cotton, regs, and treasure chests.

The bandit encounters have a treasure stash hidden somewhere that can drop gold, gems, resources, and "crafted" weapons as well as teleport scrolls.

The skeleton encounters have a large ammount of nightshade and mandrake to harvest. (and a handful of corpse wax)

They all have trees to harvest, cotton (beetle carapace) to pick, and iron or copper ore to harvest. The plains encounters have gold ore, while the forest encounters have silver ore.

WOLF encounters have more resources to harvest than the other encounters.

Dog encounters can be a herd of cows or sheep as well as harvestable resources.

Deer encounter have deer to harvest.

And Troll encounters i have not seen yet, but i am told you are ambushed by 2 trolls. And troll loot can be fairly good.

Fun Fact: Roving bandit encounters are one of the top places int he game daggers are looted from.

Thanks, means the ones that you hit while running somewhere on the road are useless waste of time while the ones you seek out might be worth doing.

The only encounter that really irritates me right now is the new troll encounter at the pass to southern Novia. They're right at either entrance, with no possibility of sneaking by.

If the encounter is so easy that you can auto attack the whole thing, then the encounter should run away from you giving you the option to walk by or to chase it down for a few resources.

Sanrio has also discussed upping the ante in encounters by adding waves to them, with a possibility that there is a boss like mob at the end. Don't expect them to be like control points though.

I can zone encounters in 8 seconds now and I would do them far more often except the xp for farming the resources is like 1 skull (100xp vs 500xp that I can get in a normal zone) so its not worth it.

It's nearly impossible to get past them without getting sucked into the encounter scene.
