    Am I doing something wrong or am i really restricted till Aug 6 on claiming a lot in my own Player Owned Town?

    The lot selection process group is based on your pledge level, not which deed you use or where you place it.

    I still don't know why. I remember there was some kind of explanation for it but i already forgot it again.

    Could be worse, all the pledge money went into my hubbys account but our guilds town is mine. Because of that, I can't place a lot in my own town until next release IF I win a lot in the lottery ;)

    It's pretty simple. High level backers paid for the right to place first (and all of the advantages that come with that right). They are the first to have storage locations and the first to place vendors and get established. By allowing anyone to place in a PoT at the same time, you remove that advantage. The devs are honoring this part of the obligation made to backers.
