I'm pretty sure (at least I read it this way) the "serious minority" comment wasn't for all PVP players, but more the subset who are very demanding. A ton of people love both PVE and PVP and have similar wants with the PVE-only crowd.

LOL. We are just chatting I do put on my helm when I need it, plus I realize if I want to dress in my tiara, well if I had one, I could do it in town. It was just a fun thought. I don't really care so very much to argue or keep anything from Pvp going the way that is important to those who love to Pvp.;)Devs have already said no to the request anyway. So no worries.

Fair point. And I my self might of read it a bit more harshly than he attended for it to be. But I agree there are those pvp players that are a little more demanding, but I do feel they are playing a strong game of risk vs reward everything count for them hour spent gathering money would be placed on seconds of decision make, and not being able to see the difference between a character that's wearing full plate going to draw a 2h sword and a guy in robs with nothing else on underneath could make for a fight or flight sinario to go wrong from the get go.

Hey now, some of us guys hate having visible head gear too. Losing my hair and beard is quite annoying. 8^)

No. Either you can pay the full price or you can't, and why should Portalarium forsake extra cash out of pity for your reduced circumstances?

Disparity in available cash isn't elitism. It's just the way things are, and always will be. However forcing equality across the board, regardless of economic ability, is socialism in its purest and most evil form.Pixel jealousy, very bad thing

So no. No discount items for you.

But seriously now, in general I'd be for reducing prices; the recent Steam discount was the first funding choice for quite some time that I actually whole-heartedly agree with. Yes, I paid more for my own account, and now others can get the same pledges for cheaper, but so what? I want more people to have the game, and later come play it with me, and as long as Portalarium can afford to run discounts, they should. And I'd be very, very interested to see what the Sales stats for the relevant period are...

However I quoted the above sarcastically as the purest example you'll see on the front page of the forums of just how far into the hypocrisy hole crowd funding can go, if you don't filter only for the reasonable voices. Budner in particular argues on one thread that people who want what he can afford, and they can't, can't be allowed to have it, with a spurious claim about "socialism"; but when he wants a specific item for his own benefit, it should suddenly be discounted. Which means he does accept the logic of reducing costs leading to extra sales, otherwise he literally has no point in this thread.

And the understanding of that point has been the basis of one market approach within the computer industry since it was launched (budget titles, discounting older titles) all the way to the present, with the current market dominance of Steam and it's infamous sales (which literally gives you money now with the trading cards, even if it claws it back elsewhere with later sales)... So, I can see a lot of people here claiming they'd purchase discounted items; and mostly arguing for their personal benefit; but why do so few argue for it on principle?

Meanwhile, minus 1/8th to Budner in Compassion and Sacrifice.

Thank you for that comprehensive mischaracterization of my prior posts, uninhibited by context.

FYI the purpose of bundling is simply to get people to buy more stuff so the game has a better chance of success. Volume discounts are standard fare and in fact Portalarium has used them before.

Just because I'm not sympathetic about someone complaining that high-level pledges are pay-to-win, doesn't mean I don't want add-on items to be more accessible to the community.

Ok , it's confirmed there is a problem. I googled "fantasy helms for women" and out of about 100 images (of which the great majority were obviously designed by men who thought they knew what they were doing ) there was just this one leather cowl - sorry about the rest of the outfit.

I think bundling is a great idea. Bundling has already been done, it is not that big of a discount in previous bundles on the add on store. Perhaps a $5 dollar discount. In the stretch goal store if you buy all of any particular stretch goal, it is a small discount to purchasing individually. IMO any money coming in, is money coming in. And pluses (+) to everyone here who has ideas to help support this game as well as their help with funding or taking the time do projects or even host projects etc. That is a community. Just because someone is not a fan of an idea that is fine, but having that idea does not determine someones character or principles. hmmm. They just came up with an idea. Now they could have sat back and let everyone else come up with the ideas, which is fine also. Perhaps I should just do that now lol, well for a minute or so;)
