Ok, I figured out the long sword but I don't know how to make anything else. Could people post some recipes?

I hear ya. That pictorial system is terrible. I think a couple of their recipes are wrong too. I tried the lantern frame last night and was unable to make it.

I'll reply again with the recipes Ive discovered so far.

 

Milling:
Wooden strips- wooden board
Cubit measure - Cubit measure, wooden board
Process wood log - wood, cubit measure
Wooden boards - wooden timber
Wooden poles- wooden board, wood rasp

Carpentry:
Wooden Handle- wooden pole, wood rasp
Stool- Carpentry hammer, (2) wooden boards
Basket- Carpentry hammer, (3) wooden strips
Chair- carpentry hammer, wood pole, (2) wooden boards
Table- carpentry hammer, (2) wooden poles, (3) wooden boards
Podium- carpentry hammer, (11) wooden boards
Dresser- carpentry hammer, (13) wooden boards
Wardrobe- carpentry hammer, (14) wooden boards
Trunk- Carpentry hammer, (5) wooden boards, wood chisel
Wooden storage chest - (5) wooden boards, carpentry hammer, chest mechanism

 

Since I didn't see it on the wiki, here's how to make a bed:

Textile:
Spool of Thread - 3 flax fiber, tree bark
Bolt of Cloth - loom shuttle, 3 spools of thread

Tailoring:
Cloth Mattress - tailoring scissors, 10 bolts of cloth

Carpentry (the following is not on the wiki):
Bed Frame - carpentry hammer, 4 wooden timber, 4 wooden boards
Bed - carpentry hammer, bed frame, cloth mattress


I'd like to know if anyone has succeeded in bending a pole and making a bow. Also, if anyone knows how to make steel. We've got plenty of iron and coal...

 

If you want to try your hand at the bow making you can make rope and thread, but I haven't seen bow string. Bow crafting is listed in the Carpentry school so I'd experiment on there if you wanted to give it a whirl. However, bow string would seem to require multiple threads woven together somehow.

 

Here is the ones Ive figured out on my own, seems to be a lot more then posted, im almost close I think to getting chain-mail and plate figured out, seems I have all the basic iron weapons.

Just an Update I figured out plate and chain-mail now too, and also all cloth armor, leather, hope you enjoy Also figured out nice shield !

All suits made, cloth, leather, chain, plate also included are SS of all weapons forms, 1 handed and 2 handed, shield, and components.

I did not play in carpentry but a few min so I dont have most of those, I was enjoying the Blacksmithing that I had missed since UO, just wish we could have harvested our ore too.

I was amazed how close you guys stayed to real old smithing and tailoring techniques, using the bark with flax etc awesome awesome!

Also posted some screenshots of the look equipped on my character so you can see the look, not bad at all for pre alpha!

Due to this feedback we actually have included the text system to the left of the tables. The tables, in some form, will stay as they're part of the game and we have a passion for Shroud of the Avatar. As the game changes to make things easier we will update to reflect those changes. We appreciate your feedback.

As to the lantern frame I can assure you four different people have verified it is an accurate recipe and I suggest you check to be sure nothing else is on your crafting table besides the EXACT required ingredients. Cheers!

 

Yep, I've made everything on the wiki and a few not on there.. I'll be posting my recipe book soon.

edit: just checked, you added the ones I had that you didn't sometime this morning. I wonder if it's close to all of them or if there are some really crazy ones we haven't found yet? I've been trying to add iron banding to items without success

 

Thanks all to who have posted recipes. Im keeping a spreadsheet that I plan on making more advanced as time goes on (forumlas to calculate costs, skill gains, and things of that nature.. filters, etc, etc).
