    @DarkStarr @Lord British

    I would like see request a pot lunar rift that I could buy for my PoT and it would let me tap into the existing lunar rift destinations. With no way back through the lunar rift. A one way trip.

    We have recall scrolls for the trip back.

    Thank you.

    Wouldn't all POTs need their own lunar rift then? I'm not even comfortable with having as many as we have now.

    If control points ACTUALLY had meaning, then this might make some sense because if you didn't have player ownership of the control point all the lunar rifts would shut down (in my perfect world). Then I'd be in favor of "something" like this.

    EDIT: and only for the POT owners that wanted it. # Why does my POT have fast travel that I didn't ask for?

    Underground POTs cannot hook into underground passage areas so why should other POTs have this advantage?

    Oh wait, if it's a PVP adventure area, it can be connected.. sure, let's so this....

    Your POT is connected directly to the Verdantis Shardfall... so, perhaps it's time to open up this jar of worms...

    You are very wise, Stryker Sparhawk. But even when things look best for me, I really do try my best to think of what's best for the entire game.

    I would like it most if the control points had influence over lunar rifts staying functional. Kills two birds with one stone. :)

    There are a couple of other POTs that take advantage of said connections. Rift's End and one of the Havoc guild's island POT connect directly to Blood Bay, and at one time you could traverse to Graf Island directly if you took the correct boats...

    What ever the control points are supposed to be these days are really a shadow of their former selves.

    So quick random interjection (hopefully quick): What exactly were control points SUPPOSED to do? I always thought they were designed as a fun king of the hill sort of thing with no other implication (and that they gave entirely too much experience at one point).

    I have a town and disagree with ubiquitous PoT rifts... not that Port would ever let it happen anyway.

    sorry for offtopic, but good question - i thought the same until now and was never able to find out what are their really for :confused:

    Would be nice to have the Pass cleared and no more enemys in there for an hour or two, and some extra ressources to harvest while the place is safe.

    @Stundorn @Trihugger

    Well certainly there is that fun, "King of the Hill" aspect, :) but initially control points were supposed to separate the disparate regions of Novia in order to properly foster "regional" economies. This of course did not end up working as intended and thus we have the rather bothersome control points that we see today.

    At persistance, the 4 active portals were in Isle of Storms, Highvale, Blood River. and Solace Bridge.

    There are inactive stones in Owl's Head.

    Lord British posted that a few more stones would now be active to add to the choice of destinations.

    So currently no usable, except for those from the Isle of Storms.
    Sorry, but I thought I had missed something again.

    I second that, even though I'd probably benefit from it ;)

    They are currently usable, and as of tomorrow (RELEASE 43, June 29, 2017) they will be a lot more usable.
    Quite a positive game changer.

    I'd be fine with one way lunar rifts available for POTS. If you want to wait 2 hours to get places while I walk there in 5 mins go ahead....

    I think at this point we would need to have some kind of new resource with different varieties in different regions, that due to magical mumbo-jumbo reasons disrupted the teleport and recall scrolls from working at all, regardless of encumbrance. The reason for the scrolls was for people who wanted to get somewhere quickly for social reasons, and this new resource would be something that you wouldn't need for social meet-ups.

    I would prefer to allow lunar rift travel with such items, though, since it's not instant because you have to wait for the right phase to get where you want to go, like riding a bus. But it might be good to make it work through rifts in multi-player mode only, to encourage Being Seen.
