    Hello,

    I just started playing again after being gone for nearly a year and there are some items that I have in my bank that I'm unsure of. Can you guys help me identify which of these items serve a purpose or should be sold off to a vendor? That would be super helpful!

    Aortic Thrombus
    Black Cutworm
    Chaos Pot Pollen
    Emerald Ash Bore
    Hemlock Bore
    Mechanical Parts - Moondial
    Sinew - Cooking
    Slime Ooze - Alchemy
    Sooty Bark - Special Wood
    Spider Eye
    Spider Leg
    Venom Sac

    Some of that is supposed to have a purpose in the future.. but is otherwise still NPC fodder.

    Animal bone and sinew are used in cooking.
    mechanical parts are used in moondials.
    Ooze is used in alchemy
    sooty bark is used to make special woods.

    This is correct. Venom sack makes spider poison and chaos pollen makes chaotic poison (very expensive and rare recipe).

    Currently Cutworms and Borers are only for selling to a vendor. Whether or not this changes in the future is anyone's guess but I do recall being told that a dev note stipulated they were purely for vendor gold.

    Pretty sure that the Aortic Thrombus also has no current use other than selling and can be sold for(I think) 32gp on most, if not all, vendors. I, myself, follow @LoneStranger 's suggestion of hoarding everything! You never know if an item might become part of a recipe in the future.

    Yes hoarding everything definitely seems to be the most intelligent decision. I wish I would have kept all the rotting flesh I've discarded or sold now knowing they're used in festering poison.
