Im amazed at how many people are worried about being called a social engineer. Again, this only applies to 5 people on a certain site who have not played the game in years and have posted 10,000 walls of text about every possible conspiracy theory one could possibly even think of about SOTA (as well as showing up in the comments thread of every game review ever done that allows comments with the same conspiracy). If thats not you, dont worry about it.

 

I think they should stop the raffle completely. You get a free POT row deed for completing the main story. If you want something bigger, there's the COTO merchant.

 

Agree. The point of the lot raffle is to give folks who can’t otherwise afford one a chance to win a lot.

There should be a limit of 1 raffle type ticket per release per avatar.

And additionally, ideally, winners should not be able to purchase raffle tickets within a certain “cool off” period of time (6 months? 1 year?).

The raffle shouldn’t be exploitable by wealthy players.

 

There is no raffle structure that isn't exploitable by wealthy players that serves the original purpose of removing gold from the economy...
You would have to limit the number of tickets that could be bought by a single account to some very small number... 1 comes to mind... Then you're distributing deeds, but not doing what the mechanism was intended to do.
And then it's still skewed in the favor of those with multiple accounts.
