Raising skills is currently raising focus costs.

With the latest changes to Focus costs, I believe a mistake has been made and that it now is quite punitive.
Here are the Focus values for 9 skills at skill levels of 100 vs 0.

*** NOTE *** The Avatar at 100 skill level below is also at 73 in Inner Calm, and the 0 skill level Avatar has zero points in Inner Calm - which makes me wonder how much these skills would cost if my Inner Calm were zero or low.

Focus costs vs skill level:

Obsidian Arrow @ 0 skill is 6
Obsidian Arrow @ 100 skill is 14

Stone Fist @ 0 skill is 6
Stone Fist@ 100 skill is 14

Root @ 0 skill is 8
Root @ 100 skill is 17

Reposite @ 0 skill is 9
Reposite @ 100 skill is 21

Coup De Grace @ 0 skill is 15
Coup De Grace @ 100 skill is 35

Whirling Blades @ 0 skill is 8
Whirling Blades@ 100 skill is 17

Thrust @ 0 skill is 5
Thrust @ 100 skill is 12

Rend @ 0 skill is 5
Rend @ 100 skill is 12

Double Slash @ 0 skill is 9
Double Slash @ 100 skill is 21

The current Focus cost equation increases the Focus costs @ between 233% to 240% by the time you reach GM levels.

IMO, the Focus "cost" based on skill levels - ie. becoming better and more efficient in any given skill should go DOWN and not UP.

We should be REWARDED for becoming better at something, not PUNISHED, which is why I'm listing this as a bug - surely you didn't intend this.

 

If it's not a bug it certainly needs some explaining.

 

Ok, this is a big/bad bug. We need this one fixed before July 28th.
