Blocker? No, I was able to use a memory cleaner to resolve the issue
Details:

I just wanted to flag this up because it was quite intriguing to see. I mined in Spectral Mines today, then left and went into a nearby town to sell items. I then recalled to Crossroads and noticed that my RAM usage spiked up to 8Gb. It was gradually going up but as soon as I loaded into Crossroads, which is a a more populated town this spike happened.

Once I had run a sweep with my Memory cleaner it dropped right down to 800Mb of usage. The client definitely does seem to yield RAM better, but it still seems hungry.

Steps to Reproduce: N/A This is just an observation.

Fresh load in owls head near the tailor left my game with 12GB used upon load. FPS said 3 fps. But could not move. press arrows, 10 seconds later
i moved a step.

All that on a 1070ti. I was unable to /bug it as it became unresponsive. I will try if it happens again later.

 

I was able to replicate upon loading again.

Details: Game so slow I cannot move or play. It says 3fps with /debug but there's no way that is 3fps.
The rest of the machine is running fine, SOTA is running at what must be 1fps if that. The rain takes like 5 seconds
for each drop to hit the ground.

Please note the 99% GPU usage as well. As this might be causing most of the slow down.

Seems like a weird issue, your game is not being rendered on your GPU0. I do see your discord on GPU.
SotA: (GPU: Microsoft Basic Render Driver)

Do you have multiple GPU's on your device? If so:
install the integrated gpu drivers first, then download and install or re-install the latest drivers for your NVIDIA/AMD card and reboot and try again with SotA.

Maybe force your SotA on your discrete GPU through the control panel of your NVIDIA/AMD software.

 

There's only my Nvidia 1070ti. There's no onboard. The issue has not returned since the first day. A patch must have fixed it.

Reopen my issues ... discord wasn't the issue ... still getting this issue on a fresh restart.
GPU load is at 100% for sota even in the town of Bladewyke.

Perhaps I should start another bug report?
