Does any archer really use this? Seems to be pointless. Uses a lot of arrows for very little dmg ....
Seems like it might only be useful if there are a hundred enemies that die in a single shot. It sucks that it's blocking Multi Shot, which needs Rapid Fire at 40. I'll probably level it up to the minimum just to get past it.
I've been using it for a few days. It isn't horrible, since its multiple attacks its multiple chances to hit, rather than either hit or miss completely. Damage is comparable to other bow abilities, I wish it were a little higher for its tier but I havn't leveled it enough to directly compare against Aimed or anything. The only part I don't care for is that each arrow is a separate attack action, so unlike the other abilities you can't begin charging a shot immediately after using or it will interrupt you.
Yes it will do a boat load of damage once you and the skill level up. I use it everytime it is off cool down.
At Max Rank With GM Ranged Combat A 5 Stack Rapid fire Can Take someone from 650hp-0hp If it crits often
Rapid Fire is a really solid skill. Along with Aimed Shot that's where most of the damage in the tree comes from. MultiShot is the terrible skill. Blinding and Disabling shots are quite nice dmg for debuffs. Piercing Shot is underwhelming as armor just doesn't seem to mitigate enough to justify having so much less damage than Aimed shot, but I wouldn't call it horrible.
As a Murican (don't hate me, I dislike myself enough) we love our "spray and pray" mentality when shooting things. This will use about the same ammo as auto attack, but much faster so your DPS does go up. It does seem to help with kobold mages on interrupts as well.
Matey, i used Ranged to carry me to victory in Last season of the Virtue league pvp tournament, I know all about That deadly pine bow with Supple strings
