Reading emote (books, letters etc.)

The game offers e.g. a reading emote
This is used when I e.g. read a book that is in my inventory

However if I read a book that is not in my inventory, e. g. in the report below reading books that sit on a shelf then the avatar simply stands there and does not use the reading emote despite having it. Players observing the Avatar might wonder why he simply stands around in front of a bookshelf...

I think that is a good point to make. When we use the e key to read a book on the shelf it should show the read book emote. If you have a book or paper in your inventory and read it you do actually do the read book automation.

 

I just thought - the same could be true for any emote.

Just as I can read a book or letter from my inventory - it would be nice to see the avatar reading books or letters he took up from a shelf or table.

Just as I can read a book or letter from my inventory without actually placing them manually in my hand - it would be nice to see the avatar smoke his e.g. Clay Pipe simply from the inventory instead of having to equp it. Even if I start to mine while in combat gear that works without actually manually equipping the pick axe - why then must the Clay Pipe be equipped to be smoked?
