Some of the guards are not standing at the gate to open it. Thusly no gate opening = no one can enter.

Sorry but this is another town I will not be visiting now.

sorry if your npc vendor is there

EDIT(I had to run around to the other side of the town wall to enter. there was a guard there. Its not where you enter the scene though.)

wait for a watcher to come over and open it to scan you. :D

Edit: this comment is clearly sarcasm. Bug report it!

Sorry, but we call this a bug. Please move thread there. A mix-up in the npc schedules that were just added.

I'll bet you didn't know that one of the doors can (always?) be opened from outside by reaching through to the inside handle!

In my experience its usually the west gate.

It's sort of like leaving a key under the doormat.

This isn't a bug. The guard is on a schedule and shows up in the morning to return to her post.

Thing is, trying to compel players all around the world, with sometimes limited available time to play, to fit their schedules around the game world 'day' is not likely to end well :(

I understand the town folk being on a schedule....but the guards should always be at their post. I know it was annoying as hell to have to talk to the guard every time i wanted to go into Resolute gate. And NO....the watchers werent always there to open the gate for me either. It was very tedious and seemed a bit stupid to have to keep asking for the guard to open the gate. I mean hells bells i been in and out that gate for over a month...would think they would remember me. Dont get me wrong its a nice central location for the most part. Just the gate thing is enough to discourage a few folks.

Probably a bug, makes no sense not to have a switching of the day- to night guard, if they have schedules.

I have not seen this one happening externally. Is the issue still occurring in 501?
