    ---

Now, I know it is not perfectly the same as SotA Runic, but I think it is as close we can get (if you have better suggestion for individual characters, please post them).

If you do not see runes, it is probably because you do not use font that supports them, I am using mostly characters from Runic block in the Unicode, though for 'V' I have used symbol for lambda. I have also used less than sign '<' instead of the rune 'ᚲ' for 'K'. I was thinking about using chevron '〈', but I do not think it look as good and pointy as it should.

I was also thinking about making online converter on my website, but I have no idea how to do that so I hope someone else will be able to do that. I still hope we will have official runic font in the forums, but because it would be too easy to decipher the text, I think that using actual runic characters is a better way to do that (at least until someone makes Runic-English converter:D)

Very Cool idea but it's completely blank (including your username ) on my Android phone and as far as I know no way to fix that. Probably only possible on PCs.

Yeah, I had to actually install a custom Unicode font on my Windows machine for Chrome to display the text properly.

May have to do the same on your phone, if that is possible. :)

Well, I do not have Android phone and I do not use mine for internet much anyway. I am afraid that Android (or any mobile phone) does not like special unicode characters. I guess if we petitioned Google, they might do something about that :p The phones now should handle Unicode imho.

On PC (Windows 8.1) it shows up in IE, but not in Chrome. The encoding of each are the same (UTF-8). On Chrome, it's just a bunch of boxes for me.

    Same here.

Edit: The tab at the top of Chrome shows the unicode characters, but the rendered page shows boxes.

I have the same problem in Chrome. The funny thing is, the TAB at the top displays in Runic. What is wrong with Chrome that it can decipher the code on the tab, but not on the actual webpage?

You need a unicode font installed. Apparently downloading a font works fine for Windows, but not sure what you'd have to do on Android.

Friends don't let friends use IE (though it has been getting much better with each release).

Down and dirty Runic converter of sorts:

    Letters - http://www.sotamuseum.com/Shroud_of_the_Avatar/RunicLanguage/Alphabet/

I know you are talking about a full runic converter where you type in a word and translate it. I have not found one that would work to add to my site yet. I am still looking for one.

Is there an easy way to make a converter that substitutes one unicode for another?

    Eg. U+0041 substitute with U+16A8

Remember Runic is a cipher, so you don't have to translate words, you just have to convert each character.

Maybe someone from the D&D1 competition can help out. I know one guy converted the whole game to runic.

I have been trying to do this too (as I mentioned in my first post to this thread). I succeeded tonight!

It is finally here! The Runic Translator you have been looking for.

Type or past in the text, change the drop down to one of 4 Runic fonts (Thanks to Dame Lori and Sir Frank for making these).
    Bingo instant translation!

Disclaimer: Works with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Tested on a Mac and Windows PCs. Works with iPhone and iPad (should with Android and Win Mobile too).
    Does NOT WORK with IE.

Pretty cool, just remember when posting on this forum, do not make posts in runic as we are an English speaking forum.

I really like how close that is to SotA runic. :)
